The New England states are home to thousands of CIA graduates who work to uphold the region’s tradition of culinary excellence.
Many of the area's top restaurants and resorts are owned, operated or supported by graduates of the CIA’s bachelor’s and associate degree programs—including the Kennebunk Inn in Maine, The Chef’s Table in Connecticut, Ron’s Landing at Rocky Bend and The Inn at Thorn Hill in New Hampshire, Restaurant Bouchard in Rhode Island, the Killington Resort in Vermont, and The-Ritz Carlton Hotel, Four Seasons Hotel, and Canyon Ranch Resort in Massachusetts.
Plus, did you know that the man behind all your favorite baked goods at Dunkin Donuts is a CIA alumnus? That's right, the executive chef/director of culinary development for Dunkin Brands is a 1984 graduate. Speaking of baked goods, the director of research and development for Panera Bread Company is also a CIA graduate, and he’s based in Needham, MA.
For years, food industry people have called the CIA "the Harvard of Culinary Schools," and in fact many of the chefs who work at Harvard are also graduates of The Culinary Institute of America!
No matter where you live, you don't have to go far to find the CIA's influence what you eat in your own backyard. Here are some examples of where you can find CIA alumni close to your home.
